Spa Etiquette

Making appointments

Make your appointment as far in advance as possible, especially if booking a package or if you are making a group booking. Adhere to the spa’s deposit policy which may require a credit card or gift card number to confirm your reservation when booking multiple treatments or a group.

Preparing for your appointment

Plan to arrive about ½ hour early to initiate the de-stressing process and maximize the benefits of your spa experience. During this time, you can complete the health assessment form, enjoy a hot or cold beverage and relax before your appointment.

If you require a massage therapy receipt to claim on your health insurance benefits plan, request it at the time of booking the appointment.

If you’re having a hydrotherapy treatment and would feel more comfortable in your bathing suit, please bring it with you.

If you’re having a body wrap, scrub or polish, do not wax or shave the day of your treatment.

Prior to Brazilian waxing appointments, please ensure hygiene is maintained and hair is not more than ¼-½ an inch in length.

Privacy

By all means advise your therapist of your comfort level required to maintain modesty. Your needs will be respected at all times as our therapists are trained in techniques to drape sheets and towels discreetly over areas of the body that are not involved in treatment at the moment.

Checking in and checking out

Our spa’s reception desk is your arrival point as well as departure point to check out, even if you’ve been treated to a spa day on a guest card. Please begin and end your spa day with our warm and inviting front desk staff.

Cancelling appointments

Should you need to cancel an appointment, be aware that our cancellation policy requires 48 hrs notice. If you cancel the day of your scheduled appointment you may be charged the full amount on your credit card because that time was reserved with a specific therapist who cannot rebook the time that you cancelled.

Spa courtesies

You will be expected to turn off your cell phone and converse in hushed tones to respect the tranquil environment and needs of other clients.

Small children are not compatible within tranquil spa environments, and in the spirit of allowing you to relax, we recommend you have a caregiver available for your children while you are here. Of course, if your child is booked for an appointment with you, we will do everything we can to make their visit a happy one.

Please do not arrive late for your appointment. If you are late, your appointment will be abbreviated by the amount of time you were late as the therapist’s next client must not be inconvenienced and you will be charged for the full appointment booked. If we run late for some reason, your appointment time will be honored.

Communication is the key

Express your needs to your therapist at any time throughout the treatment. He or she is there to make your spa experience positive, beneficial, and relaxing.

Gratuities

Gratuities are at your discretion. Feel free to show appreciation to your therapist for outstanding services or treatments provided. They may be made at time of check-out, through your choice of payment method.
